About ReadMe

ReadMe is an independent research publication. Every article begins as a question, goes through thorough research, and survives scrutiny before it reaches
you.

We cover technology, policy, science, economics, and health — wherever the evidence leads and the stakes matter. Our reporting prioritizes primary sources:
peer-reviewed research, government records, court filings, and expert analysis. When we cite something, we name it.

What we believe

  • Facts over framing. If the evidence contradicts the narrative, we follow the evidence.
  • Named sources over "experts say." The reader deserves to know who said it and where.
  • Honest uncertainty over false confidence. When the data is thin, we say so.

What we don't do

  • Hot takes. Every article goes through extensive research and verification before publication.
  • Clickbait. Our titles make claims the article can back.
  • Both-sides padding. If the evidence clearly favors one position, we say so plainly.
